It took a little longer for the Lake Markkleeberg finally had his own running event. Surprising, since a long time the roller skiers and the organizers of the Südraummarathons but very nice course at the former opencast mine was discovered. But the long wait is now over, on 30/05/2010 then the premiere of instead Markkleeberger Seelaufs . However, the weather
had no pity for the inaugural event. Torrential rain accompanied the runners on the 9km round.
Many of the 700 registered runners chose because of the weather situation, unfortunately, short term gegen einen Start. Diese haben damit die Möglichkeit vertan, sich zu den über 500 glücklichen „Erstfinishern“ dieser neuen Veranstaltung zählen zu dürfen. Sie verpassten damit eine wirklich gut organisierte Laufveranstaltung mit vielen kleinen Extras (z.B. Massageservice, Soforturkunden).
Die LG eXa war bei der Premiere natürlich auch am Start, auf der Strecke oder als Helfer am Streckenrand. Jörg Richter, für den es natürlich eine Verpflichtung war, bei diesem Lauf auf seiner Haus- und Hofstrecke am Start zu sein, holte bei den Männern in der Gesamtwertung einen starken 3.Platz. Björn Kugler kam auf einen ebenfalls guten 18.Platz bei den Männern.
Bei den Women were Manuel and Nancy Roeder Lamkewitz for LG exa at the start. Manuela showed that it is a real bad-weather runner. Behind the strong Carina Schipp she won 2nd place for women. Not much slower was Nancy, who won the 5th place among women.
Thank you here again to the many helpers, that in these weather conditions were not easy.
